Industrial estates, engineering and logistics along the A13 corridor, supported by a team about three miles away.
Rainham is one of the more industrial parts of Havering, and its IT needs reflect that. The estates along Marsh Way, Manor Way and Ferry Lane are dominated by logistics and haulage, waste and recycling, construction supply, engineering and vehicle operations. CEME, the engineering and manufacturing campus on Marsh Way, adds a cluster of technical and light-manufacturing businesses on one site.
That produces a different set of problems from a town-centre office. Coverage across a yard or a large unit rather than a floor of desks. Weatherproof kit that survives being knocked about. Drivers and site staff who need access from a phone rather than a workstation. Systems that have to keep running through a shift, where an hour of downtime stops vehicles moving rather than slowing down some emails.
It is also an area where a lot of operational technology sits alongside ordinary IT. Weighbridges, tracking and telematics, CCTV, access control. Those are frequently the least-patched things on a network, and increasingly the way into it.

Monitoring and out-of-hours cover for businesses that do not stop at six o'clock.
Access from phones and tablets, secured properly, with the ability to lock or wipe a lost device.
CCTV, telematics and access-control systems on the same flat network as your accounts package is a common and avoidable risk.
We are in Dagenham, roughly three miles west of Rainham along the A1306 and A13, so the industrial estates off Marsh Way and Manor Way are quick for us to reach. Rainham station is on the c2c line, and South Hornchurch and Wennington fall inside the same coverage.
Because so much of the work here is on larger sites, we would usually start with a walk round rather than a remote assessment. You cannot survey Wi-Fi coverage or find an unpatched device in a cabin from a support portal.

Yes, along with CEME, Ferry Lane, Wennington and South Hornchurch. We are about three miles away in Dagenham, straight along the A1306 or A13.
Usually. Outdoor and large-site coverage needs a survey and the right hardware rather than more consumer access points. On-site installation work is £855 per day and we will tell you what is achievable before you commit.
24/7 out-of-hours support is included on the Complete tier (£108 per user per month). Without a plan, out-of-hours call-outs are £167 per hour with a two-hour minimum.
Generally no. Those devices are rarely updated and are a well-known route onto a business network. Segmenting them is usually inexpensive and one of the higher-value changes we make on industrial sites.
Yes. Plenty of operators here run everything from phones, a laptop in a cabin and a cloud accounts package. That is a perfectly normal setup to support. It just changes where the risks sit.
